Edukasi Cara Mencuci Tangan Pada Anak Berkebutuhan Khusus Di SLB Galesong Kabupaten Takalar

Abstract

Children with special needs (ABK) are children who have special limitations academically. They are at higher risk of developing disease compared to other children in general. One of the diseases that often attacks children is caused by bacterial and viral infections from the environment. One way to suppress infectious diseases is to wash your hands properly. The main aim of this activity is to teach crew members how to wash their hands properly and correctly so they can be better and more independent in maintaining their health. This activity is carried out using counseling and practice methods to increase knowledge of how to wash hands correctly by applicable standards. This activity was attended by students with various kinds of special needs consisting of various levels and also teachers at SLB Galesong, Takalar Regency. The results of the activity show that students can follow the hand-washing movements correctly and the school is very enthusiastic about community service activities. This activity has a positive influence on students' ability to apply the correct hand-washing method, this is proven by an increase in students' ability to practice good and correct hand-washing steps
